Functional inks and printed electronics solutions are offered by Henkel for many years to enable production of traditional membrane switches and more recent smart sensors. Using printed circuits, this can be done in an easy and economically attractive way. Application areas widely vary from healthcare, industry 4.0, automotive, aerospace, consumer goods and many more. In this presentation the possibilities with printed electronics and the use of functional inks will be further illustrated by a few of the many applications already on the market today.
After receiving her PhD from the Eindhoven University of Technology (NL) in 2010 in the field of polymers for medical applications, Inge performed 2 years of applied research at the same university focussing on adhesives from renewable resources, before joining Henkel Electronic Materials NV in 2012. During the first 4 years she worked on the development of new conductive adhesives and inks for electronic applications. In 2016 she was appointed Product Development Manager for the inks and coatings product line, overseeing all new developments for this product line, wherein wearable sensors and flexible electronics are focus areas.
