The goal of decarbonization and reduction of energy consumption is driving the need for higher efficient electrical system solutions. Power supplies & power inverters for data communication and renewable energy generation are first key applications and all forecasts are revising up the demand for GaN base materials to address Power markets. In addition, Optoelectronic applications like MicroLEDs have the huge potential for a very low energy consumption solutions making those an ideal candidate for all future display applications. Beside the well-established AIX G5+C, AIXTRON has recently launched its new G10-GaN platform for 150mm & 200mm wafer size to meet the increased demand in performance, fab efficiency and cost per wafers to sustain the current adoption acceleration in GaN Power application. We will present the recent progress of AIXTRON addressing the GaN market with its dedicated Epitaxy solutions for 150mm up to 300mm wafer size.
